22nd Annual Yard Sale – A Huge Success!

Our Wild Care Yard Sale on June 11th was a HUGE SUCCESS!
It raised $7,632+ for Wild Care! This is our most successful sale EVER!
It was also our highest attended, with 180+ people waiting in line by 8:45 AM.
We have many people to thank for this success:
Jan Raffaele: Our fearless Volunteer Yard Sale Coordinator who worked tirelessly to make this a successful event. Thank you for your leadership and dedication Jan!
Volunteers: The 50+ volunteers who dedicated over 392 hours of their time to work the sale, and assist with everything from set up, clean up, to promotion of the event.
Harwich Community Center: Carolyn Carrey, Executive Director of the Harwich Community Center, for hosting us at this wonderful venue & assisting with all aspects of the Sale!
Harwich Garden Center: for donating plants to sell at the Sale.
Whole Foods Market, Hyannis: for donating 150 recyclable bags!
Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port and the Treasure Chest of Orleans: for collecting our remaining sale items and putting them to good use!
Most importantly thank YOU for attending and spreading the word.

Yard Sale Information:
Date: June 11, 2016
Time: 9:00 AM EST – 12:00 PM EST
Location: Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak Street Harwich MA
TO DONATE: Bring your USABLE, CLEAN and PRICED items to the Harwich Community Center on Friday June 10th 2016 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
We are looking for housewares, tools, sports equipment, small working appliances, lamps, art & frames, light weight furniture, jewelry and modern books.
TO ATTEND: Just show up on June 11th between 9:oo AM and 12:00 PM at the Harwich Community Center. We’re sure we have treasures just for you!
TO VOLUNTEER: We need your help!
Friday, June 10th from 12-7 PM, and/or the date of the sale,
Saturday June 11th.
Help is needed with the following:
Help unload boxes from donor’s cars
Unpack boxes and price items
Host yard sale signs
Make baked goods
Help work the floor the day of the sale
Pack unsold items on Saturday

Wild Care has a state-of-the-art seabird therapy pool, which allows seabirds and waterfowl to exercise on running water. This will help our bird friends recover more quickly so they can get back to their watery habitats!
