Rehab Complete, Two Bald Eagles Soar Back Into Wild

About 25 people gathered to watch the release of two young bald eagles Friday, August 30th at Mass Audubon Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary.

Sharing details of the eagles’ spring arrival on the Cape, Jason Zimmer and Steve Wright of MassWildlife described how, sitting on lawn chairs, their arms wrapped in towels, they were able to apprehend the larger of the two eagles on May 14 in Harwich and the smaller, thought to have migrated up the coast from Florida, on June 22 in Truro.
